Meet the Artist

MY STORY
A woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, holding a paintbrush near her chin, smiling softly in a cozy, artful room with flower arrangements and artwork in the background.

For as long as she can remember, art has been woven into the fabric of Jenine Yuzik’s life. Growing up in Saskatoon, she was the child who saw colour everywhere — in prairie sunsets, quiet moments, and the beauty hidden within everyday life. By the age of sixteen, she began formal art instruction under renowned wildlife artist Gail Adams. Those early lessons sparked a creative journey that would shape both her career and her way of seeing the world.

While building a 32-year career as an elementary school teacher, Jenine spent evenings and weekends teaching oil, watercolour, and acrylic painting classes, sharing her love of creativity with students of all ages. Whether in a classroom or at an easel, inspiring others to create has always been at the heart of who she is.

In 2014, that lifelong passion blossomed into Dabble Diva Art. By December 2025, Jenine had shared her love of art with nearly 2,000 children and adults through independent classes, workshops, and paint events beyond her years in the school system. In 2026, she embraced a new creative chapter with Jenine Yuzik Art — a space dedicated to showcasing her original artwork while offering paint events, private instruction, and small group art experiences designed to inspire creativity in others.

Jenine pours her energy into paintings that celebrate colour, movement, light, and emotion. Her paintings are recognized for their vibrant colour palettes, expressive brushwork, and joyful energy — often balancing realism with a loose, modern impressionistic style that allows each piece to tell its own story.

Never one to be limited by a single medium, Jenine has explored oils, acrylics, watercolours, alcohol inks, and pastels, embracing the unique possibilities each one offers. Nature remains her greatest inspiration. From her home at Candle Lake, where she lives with her husband Ken, she draws endless creative energy from the surrounding forests, water, wildlife, and changing prairie skies.

For Jenine, painting is more than creating something beautiful — it is about capturing a feeling, preserving a moment, and inviting others to experience the world through colour and imagination. Through her work, she hopes to evoke joy, peace, nostalgia, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life.
